Pedro Tea Estate
Founded in the 19th century during the British colonial era, the Pedro Tea Estate is a charming plantation located in Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka. The estate offers a tranquil and classic experience, encircled by undulating hills and emerald green tea bushes. The old factory is open for guided tours and is still in operation today. To preserve the tea’s distinct flavor, every step of the production process—which includes plucking, rolling, oxidizing, sifting, and sorting—is done at night. Together with well-kept tea bushes and a cozy teahouse, the estate provides a picturesque getaway into Sri Lanka’s tea region. In addition to light refreshments and afternoon tea, visitors can relax in the lovely surroundings of the adjacent gardens. In addition, the plantation has a store where guests can purchase products and tea grades to bring a bit of Sri Lanka’s tea legacy home.
